L, bent… is a short, fast piece written to celebrate my brother David’s 50th birthday. The first performance was given in New York on March 10th, 1993 by Speculum Musicae, conducted by Oliver Knussen. In 1995 I made an orchestral version of the work for Michael Tilson Thomas’s 50th birthday, M50.
