Panufnik composers for 2019

28 February, 2019

It’s difficult to believe that it’s a year since the last group of composers was welcomed on to the LSO’s Panufnik Scheme, initiated by Camilla Panufnik in 2005 with the wonderfully committed support of the Helen Hamlyn Trust. The workshop performances for the 2018 composers will be on March 25 at LSO St Luke’s, conducted, as ever, by the matchless François-Xavier Roth.

The new group for this fifteenth year of the scheme brings the total of composers we’ve worked with up to 87. From left to right : James Chan, Jonathan Woolgar, Caroline Bordignon, Louise Drewett, Joe Bates, Ninfea Crutwell-Reade, Christian Mason (Composition Support), CM, Natalia Franklin Pierce (LSO Artist Development). Their workshop day is already scheduled in for 26 March 2020.
