This 3 minute piece for piano was composed the day after the death of Elliott Carter on November 5 2012. It was first performed by Joseph Houston on January 7 2013 at the Purcell Room, London. The second performance was given by Pierre-Laurent Aimard at the 2013 Aldeburgh Festival.
